MSF Base ("we", "us", "the site") is an unofficial, fan-made companion site for Marvel Strike Force. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Marvel Entertainment, Disney, or Scopely.
What we collect
Most of MSF Base works without any account or personal data at all — character data, abilities, planners, and news are public information served to every visitor.
If you choose to connect your Marvel Strike Force account, we use Scopely's official MSF API (OAuth2) to request read-only access to your player ID and character roster — character IDs, star ratings, gear levels, ability levels, and power values. We do not request or receive your Scopely login credentials, email, payment information, or anything beyond roster data.
How we use it
Roster data is used only to personalize features on MSF Base, such as sorting or filtering planner tools by your own characters' actual power instead of generic max-level stats. We do not sell, share, or use your roster data for advertising.
How it's stored
Your account's OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on our server and are never exposed to your browser or any third party. A cached copy of your roster is kept server-side so we don't have to re-fetch it from the MSF API on every page load, and is refreshed periodically. A session cookie on your browser identifies which stored account belongs to you; it does not itself contain your tokens or roster data.
Analytics
Like most websites, MSF Base uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, general location, device type). This is not tied to your MSF account.
Disconnecting your account
You can disconnect your Marvel Strike Force account from MSF Base at any time. Doing so revokes our access token and deletes your stored tokens and cached roster from our server. You can also revoke access directly from Scopely/MSF's own account settings.
